Shinshu University​ Fiber Innovation Incubator

CIRIOT has been working with Shinshu University’s Fiber Innovation Incubator (FII) since 2019 to facilitate international partnerships for R&D related to circular fibers, materials, and textiles. The goal is to develop sustainable and eco-friendly materials for the textile industry. CIRIOT’s assistance has helped to connect FII with relevant international partners and increase its visibility in the global market.​

Shinshu University is a national university located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The university was established in 1949 and has a history that dates back to 1875 with the founding of the Matsumoto Medical School. Today, Shinshu University has nine faculties, four graduate schools, and a research institute, covering a wide range of academic fields such as humanities, science, engineering, medicine, and agriculture. The university is known for its research in environmental science, materials science, and medicine, among other areas, and has been ranked as one of the top universities in Japan.​
