Our partnership with Asian Insiders
Asian Insiders is a network of in‑country business experts helping international companies enter, expand, and succeed in Asian markets. Operating across major Asian markets – including Japan (Ciriot), Korea, China, India, and Southeast Asia – provide hands‑on consulting across high technology sectors, offering market opportunity assessment, sales channel expansion, supply chain partnerships search, and operational support.
Ciriot has been the Japan market partner within the Asian Insiders network since October 2025, with the aim of providing both existing and new clients broader access to Asia’s dynamic growth markets. By collaborating with highly professional and experienced partner companies across 14 Asian locations, we offer our clients efficient access to new business development and sales opportunities. We analyse and recommend identify business opportunities based on clients strategies across our markets, so that our clients to choose the right markets to enter and partners there to work with.
Together we bring extensive local experience, strong ties with business and technology leaders, government officials, and a track record of 1,000+ completed projects.
Business Turku, Finland
- Business Turku is a regional development organization that supports the growth, innovation, and internationalization of companies in the Turku region of Finland.
- The Turku region has a long tradition of encouraging local companies—particularly in its leading sectors such as healthcare and medical industries, ICT, and machinery manufacturing—to expand their business in Japan.
- Ciriot works with Business Turku to identify and develop new business opportunities in Japan for companies based in the Turku region.
EU-Japan Business Round Table (BRT)
- BRT is an ongoing strategic partnership program between the EU and Japan aimed at jointly advancing critical business value chains and driving key technology innovations.
- The program’s members include the European Commission, Japan’s METI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment, as well as major international and mid size corporations from both regions.
- Ciriot is one of the few SME members in the program, having participated since 2020. Ciriot membership was approved due to our strong expertise in both regions and its ability to support companies in business development, technology advancement, and partnership building.
FinnCERES, Finland
- Aalto University and VTT Research Centre of Finland led research-industry co-innovation program for bio-based materials
- Ciriot is a member with a role to help with innovations commercialization and to engage Japanese companies and universities into co-innovations efforts
Shinshu University FII, Ueda, Nagano Prefecture Japan
- Shinshu University is a Japanese national university.
- Ciriot has been collaborating with Shinshu FII since 2018 in the field of circular materials and textiles.
- Target is to advance R&D and industry-research collaboration between Shinshu University and Finnish & Nordic R&D partners; e.g. FinnCERES.
Green Net Finland, Helsinki Finland
- An organization in Finland that promotes the interests and business development of green and cleantech cluster companies through strategic partnerships.
- Ciriot is a partner in an EU co funded program (2025–26) supporting Finnish and Estonian SMEs in expanding their business into Japan.
Osaka International Business Promotion Centre (IBPC)
- Osaka IBPC is an organization owned by Osaka City to promote its trade and industries, to attract overseas companies to start business in Osaka, and to support global expansion of companies connected to Osaka. It operates also INTEX Osaka, West Japan’s largest exhibition center.
- Ciriot is a partner of IBPC, supporting overseas companies in forming partnerships with Osaka-based businesses and establishing their corporate presence in Osaka. In addition, Ciriot assists Osaka-based companies with their international expansion initiatives—primarily into Asian markets—in close collaboration with IBPC.
Jyväskylä University (JYU) & Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (JAMK), Finland
- JYU and JAMK are our partners in Finland for creating Co-funded projects between Japan and Finland/Nordics/EU.
- Together with JAMK, we are now planning a Co-funded project during Q1 2026 for offer Nordic/EU base Smart Agriculture SME’s products and technologies in Japanese markets.
Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT), Kyoto Japan
- KIT is a Japanese national university.
- Ciriot has introduced KIT new circular textiles and fibers innovations from Finland.
- Target is to advance R&D and industry-research collaboration between KIT and Finnish & Nordic R&D partners; with VTT Finland a research collaboration has been initiated by Ciriot introduction.
Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol, Tallinn Estonia
- Tehnopol offers business development services for SMEs and startup incubator support for startups.
- Ciriot partner in EU co-funded program for Finnish and Estonian SMEs (2025-26) to expand their business in Japan.
VTT Research Centre of Finland (VTT)
- One of the leading high technology research centers in Europe
- VTT offers also multiple innovations services for international companies
- Ciriot has partnered with VTT in 2018-2026. Our role has been to source large Japanese industrial corporate clients for VTT GX development services. Ciriot has also contributed VTT to start R&D collaboration with Japanese universities.
